Smash KartsYou've seen gladiator fights before. Big dudes in armor, swinging swords, yelling stuff in Latin. But Gladihoppers? Oh, this one's different. It throws all that out the window and replaces it with bouncing warriors, floppy physics, and absolute chaos. It's chaotic. It's hilarious. And it's so much fun.
Developed by Dreamon Studios AB, Gladihoppers takes traditional gladiator combat and flips it—literally—by adding wacky physics-based movement and absurdly intense battles. Whether you're clashing steel in a career mode, going full berserk in an arcade brawl, or challenging a friend in two-player mode, every fight feels fresh and unpredictable. It's ridiculous. It's fun. And it's exactly why this game is so addictive.
The controls are simple, but don't let that fool you. Winning takes skill, patience, and maybe a little bit of luck.
- Left/Right Arrows: Move your gladiator and control the hopping.
- Attack Button: Slash, stab, or bash your opponent into KO.
- Block Button: Raise your shield, but don't just stand there—timing is everything.
- Spacebar: Adjust between offense and defense to outmaneuver your enemy.
- Use Power-Ups: Equip better weapons, armor, and buffs to gain the upper hand.
With a mix of strategy, reflexes, and sheer luck, no two fights feel the same.
- Physics-Based Combat: It's not just about swinging your sword—it's about how you swing it.
- Career Mode: Rise from a lowly fighter to the greatest champion of the Colosseum.
- Arcade & Custom Battles: Jump straight into action and test your skills in quick fights.
- Two-Player Mode: Duel your friends on the same device (because betrayal is fun).
- Tons of Weapons & Armor: Over 100 pieces of equipment (swords, axes, shields, helmets, etc.) are available, including tridents and war hammers.
- Ridiculous Ragdoll Animations: Because serious combat is overrated. The floppy, over-the-top physics make every knockout a comedy show.
- Keep Moving: Staying in one place is a death sentence. Hop around to avoid getting skewered.
- Switch Stances: Defensive mode might save you from a critical strike, but don't turtle too long.
- Aim for the Head: A well-placed headshot can end a fight real quick.
- Experiment with Weapons: Axes hit hard, spears poke far—find what works for you.
- Watch Your Stamina: Spam attacks too much, and you'll be wide open for a counter. Pace yourself!
- The game's physics were inspired by old-school ragdoll brawlers like QWOP and Stick Fight.
- There's a "Save the Emperor" mode where you fight endless waves until you drop.
- You can wield weird weapons like spears—no frying pans (yet?), but close enough.
- Early versions had enemies so dumb they'd fall into traps without a fight—now they're just mostly clueless.
If you love chaotic, unpredictable battles where anything can happen, Gladihoppers is your game. Just don't get too attached to your gladiator—these fights don't always end well.
